Welcome to the White Mountain Apache Police Department’s Human Resource Page. This department provides service and advisory support to the Police Department with respect to the hiring, placement, classification and retention of employees. The WMAPD Human Resources Department is responsible for staffing, recruiting, testing, the coordination of background investigations through the WMAPD Professional Standards Unit, maintaining the employee database, and discipline review.

BECOMING A MEMBER OF THE POLICE FORCE

 

  • YOU MUST APPLY FOR THE POSITION OF POLICE OFFICER WITH THE WHITE MOUNTAIN APACHE TRIBE ( DOWNLOAD APPLICATION)

 

  • FILL OUT ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION FOR REVIEW                           

  • MUST COMPLETE A BACKGROUND HISTORY, DRUG TEST & FINGER PRINT

 

  • MUST COMPLETE A WRITTEN EXAM AND INTERVIEW

 

  • MUST COMPLETE A SERIES OF PHSICAL FITNESS AGILITIES.

 

  • MUST COMPLETE POLYGRAPH EXAM, POSSESS A CURRENT VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE AND MAINTAIN A GOOD DRIVING HISTORY

 

  • MUST SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE THE POLICE ACADEMY.
