The White Mountain Apache Tribe has adopted the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) to partner with the taskforce agencies to respond to all threats related to communication systems, whether online or through the use of modern day technology for the use of exploiting the White Mountain Apache Children.

As stated in the ICAC Taskforce statement, The ICAC Task Force was created to help agencies enhance their investigative responses to offenders who use the Internet, online communication systems, or computer technology to sexually exploit children.

Again, the ICAC program was developed due to an increase of youth using the Internet, an excessive growth in child pornography, and activity by predators seeking victims who are underage online.

The White Mountain Apache Police Department will partner with the State of Arizona, which is the Regional Task Force Commander, to assist in developing and training the Police Officers to ward off any potential threats of Internet Crimes against Children on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation.
